Program brings smiles to Northridge Middle School

Writer: TEFTEF

Each Friday, a group of fathers volunteer their time to greet students arriving for class at Northridge Middle School.

Students arriving for school on Friday mornings at Northridge Middle School get a special treat. Fathers volunteering their time greet every student as they come in the door with a high-five or a handshake and some encouraging words.

The program is called Martin and Men. Several fathers who have children in the school stand outside to greet car riders who arrive on one side of the school and bus riders who arrive on the other side so that every child gets a cheerful greeting.
